Overview
Professor Edmund Linfield, is the School’s Director of Research as well as the Chair in Terahertz Electronics. Edmund was recently awarded a Dream Fellowship by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council (EPSRC) which will allow him to dedicate more time to his research in the field of Terahertz science and engineering. Our research activities are extremely well funded with an annual research expenditure of over £6 million. With 25 academic staff and over 400 students from around the world we are also one of the UK’s largest (research-led) Electronic and Electrical Engineering schools.
